Budget Backpackers is a 4-Star Hostel located just a stone's throw away from Edinburgh Castle in the heart of the historic old town. We are 2 minutes from the city's vibrant nightlife and 5-10 minutes' walk from bus and train stations.
As well as private rooms we have dormitories with individual reading lights and lockers for each bed, and we offer a number of facilities including kitchens, a chill-out room with a plasma television and internet access. Linen is provided.
We operate a 24-hour reception and we do not have a curfew. Entry is by electronic key card and there are CCTV cameras throughout.
Please note: we do not accept stag or hen parties, or guests under the age of 17.

Overall, a nice hostel to stay at. Some of the rules about where it was acceptable to eat one\'s own food were a bit obnoxious food was allowed in the kitchen and in the rooms themselves, but the room I stayed in (30-person) had nowhere to sit and eat (beds bunked to short to sit on), and the kitchen was loud and crazy, not at all where one might go for a peaceful meal.
