Arriving by Car:
Coming from A8, from either Lisbon or Leiria, exit to A21 direction Malveira / Mafra / Ericeira.
At the roundabout just after Ericeira toll, take the 4.th exit towards center in the sea direction. Entering Ericeira turn right to S. Sebastião / Ribeira D'Ilhas /Parque de Campismo. You will find Moinhos do Mar at your right, halfway between S. Sebastião and Ericeira Camping, after a roundabout and facing a small children's playground.
Blue Buddha Hostel and our office/reception is the first condominium house, on your right, just after Moinhos do Mar front entrance.

Our famous beaches of thick golden sand and perfect waves are trimmed by beautiful sea cliffs. Surf is the main sport here and, from all over the world, surfers come to Ericeira to catch unforgettable billows and tubes. For many of them, this place has been a sensational discover. The ÂÂÂ"MeccaÂÂÂ" of the portuguese surf ÂÂÂ- on a spot facing ÂÂÂ"Pico do MatadouroÂÂÂ" and ÂÂÂ"Pedra BrancaÂÂÂ", just five minutes, on foot, away from the ÂÂÂ"ReefÂÂÂ" and seven from ÂÂÂ"Ribeira dÂÂÂ'IlhasÂÂÂ". Ericeira coast is valued for its tubular waves of very high level. Along the coast the diversity of the sea bottom ÂÂÂ- here sandy, there rocky ÂÂÂ- meets any surfer requirements for perfect waves. JuliãoÂÂÂ", both sandy bottom beaches, allow for iniciated and advanced surfing the same waves. And ÂÂÂ"the jewell of the crownÂÂÂ" - Ribeira dÂÂÂ' Ilhas - with its very long wave and fame for welcoming, since the year of 1985, the Surf World Championships.
