Evora House is located right in the heart of Evora city center. You'll be a step away from all the town attractions, monuments, bars and nightlife activity plus local supermarkets where you can buy your own food.

Evora House is a cheap accommodation solution in Evora, we decided to transform a Centre town house into an affordable solution for backpackers and travelers. This is temporary rental houses; its not a youth hostel.

We are working all year.


Evora guesthouse is not a youth hostel. We Offer 2 Houses, simple apartments at your use. No one live in the houses .
Remember there are no youth hostels in Evora, so this is a great opportunity. There are other hotels in town where you might find accommodation also. Although this is a great deal.

Jacome house is 200m from the roman temple. It's a cosy small house fully equipped , ideal for a couple as it has a double bedroom it also has a double sofa bed in the living so it can loge 4 people if they are together .
The minimum rate is 40 euros for 2 people.if you are one or two more an extra 20 euros will be charged.
Fria house is very near Porta de moura.it is fully equipped and has 2 double bedrooms.20 euros per person.
we can pick from airport for 90 euros up to 4 people.
we can take you to the stones minimum 1/2 persons 30 euros,max 4 persons.

The guesthouse is simply equipped kitchens at your use, and clean bathroom.

Bed + sheets + kitchen to use + pick up service

Previously, the house was rented to university students so all amenities are at hand and the House / French English speaking staff will receive you with a smile. This is not a full time job for the house owner. So try to understand the pick up service and call /send sms first. He needs to know when you arrive.

This is a great way to get to know vora and all its historical surroundings. One or two weeks in town is perfect to chill out, enjoy the city shadows while drinking a glass of cold beer and reading a book. Swimming Pool near by, historical megalithic circuits available renting our scooters or mountain bikes

Chek in is done at RUA DE SERPA PINTO 139.This is the street that goes from the coach station towards the main square.we are 10 minutes from the station by foot and 10 minutes more will take you to praça do giraldo(main square)

We can meet you either at the house or at the main square by the tourism office.
Our Office is at RUA DE SERPA PINTO 139 wich is very near the Main square(Praa do Giraldo),

Located Near

As the UNESCO inside castle walls town of vora is not that big, our hostel is located 5-10 minutes impressive walking trough historical streets of all major monuments in town.

Some important monuments to see:
Cathedral of vora (built in the Gothic style, completed in the 13th century and with a 14th century ogival cloister; main entrance decorated with sculptures of the apostles; interior dating from the 17th and 18th C; includes the Sacred Art Museum)

S. Brs Chapel only open for prayer (built in 1480 and a good example of moresque-Gothic with cylindrical buttresses)

S. Francisco Church (started along late gothic lines, it was not completed until the manueline period; contains the Chapel of Bones (Capela dos Ossos), a chapel drawing on religious baroque influences which is totally covered with human bones)

Palace of Vasco da Gama (here Vasco da Gama resided in 1519 and 1524, the dates corresponding to his nomination as the Count of Vidigueira and Viceroy of India; remaining from that period are the Manueline cloister and some of the murals which decorate it)
