In a great location with views over the whole Medina. This is by far the best place to stay in Fes! In fact, we are Lonely Planet-recommended and the winner of a Top Hostel in Africa 2012 and 2013 award and winner of TripAdvisor Excellency 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017.

With plenty of activities to choose from and daily cheap camel treks to the Sahara desert. You can do henna painting, basic Arabic classes, daily yoga sessions for girls, drum sessions and cooking lessons on demand, hammam trips and daily tours of the Old Medina. We also offer trips out of Fes to Volubilis, Meknes and Azrou to see the monkeys.

All room bar the budget double room have air conditioning. Our showers are hot 24/7 and there is free High Speed Wifi in the whole property and we offer a paid printing boarding pass facility.

The 7-bedded ensuite room is on the patio level and features heating, air conditioning, Wi-F, satellite TV and a fridge with mezzanine level.

The ground floor also has the four-person bunk bed dorm room with a shared bathroom next to the room, plus heating, air conditioning.

On the MEZZANINE level is our budget twin ensuite room which can be made into a double bed.

The small double room room has a bathroom outside the room, while the three-person ensuite dorm has a balcony and satellite TV and AC.

Our double ensuite room features a chill-out area, a balcony and satellite TV. 2 extra people can be added to the room on sofa beds.

Triple room features a double bed and a single bed, ensuite room with AC, balcony, satellite TV, safety lockers. The sofa can also double up as a bed for a 4th person.

Up on the second floor you will find a 10 person dorm featuring a balcony. The bathroom comprises 2 showers.

On the terrace we have a 5 person dorm room with a bunkbed and single beds, the separate shower and toilet are just next to the room. this room has AC and heating too.

We have a daily maid service and laundry facilities. Our delicious breakfast is free and is served from 9.30 am till 11.30.

Other facilities include a coffee shop, a restaurant, a juice and smoothie bar, free high-speed WiFi and you can use the communal PC.

VIP 360-degree panoramic viewing terrace.

In dorm rooms there are individual small lockers. The hotel is very safe and we have security cameras.

Please bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper as sound travels around this Riad, there is large interior open space and we do organise birthday parties.

This place is fun and relaxed and your hosts Mel and Nour just want you to feel at home.

Our clientele are normally young single travelers around 24 to 40 years of age. This hostel is not suitable for people over 40 or families with babies. We also do not admit Moroccans, Algerians, Libyians, Egyptians, Saudis, Iranians, Iraqui nationals due to strict Sharia Law for Muslims sharing mixed rooms with women who are not their wives. We are licenced as a tourist Riad only I'm afraid.

Fes is a city where the locals love to haggle and hustle, be warned that if this is your first time to Morocco the experience can be quite overwhelming in the beginning. Just go with the flow and embrace the atmosphere!

Must-Read Hostel Info

This property has specific Terms & Conditions.

YOU MUST CONTACT US BY EMAIL if you plan on arriving after 5pm on your reservation so that your bed is held.

Please note that by law Moroccans and Algerians who are not married cannot share a room with the opposite sex unless they are married and have proof of an original marriage certificate.

Age restriction: we accept guest under 40 years old.

We also cannot accept Moroccan, Tunisian or Algerians guests in dorms due to strict sharia law in Morocco. It is illegal under Sharia Law and punishments are high for breaking the law. we do not accept drugs on the property or bringing in your own alcohol or touting your own business, you will be asked to leave if you are breaking our rules or being disrespectful to our staff.

We do play some music in the Riad, in the foyer so we are not suitable if you want complete peace and quiet as noise carries, so bring ear plugs if you dont like sound.

There is a 5 % surcharge to pay your balance by credit card; the card machine will only be used if Noor is present and a minimum amount of 1500 Dhm.

You will likely be approached by faux guides who will tell you our Riad doesn't exist in order to take you to their uncle's riad where they will get a commission. Do not engage in the services of a FG as you will be taken on a money-grabbing tour of Fes with up to 50% mark-ups on anything you purchase. If you would like an Official Guide, the Riad has three who we work with who speak amazing English, Spanish and French and you will feel relaxed, hassle-free and you will have a fair tour with no hidden costs.

Located Near

Batha Fountain is your closest stop from the bus station; we're about 10 minutes' walk from the famous Bab Beujeloud entrance gate, close to the main souks, about 20 minutes from the tanneries and Kelim Berber weavers and we even have a hammam located just five minutes from here. The closest hotel which is signposted is Riad Sheherazade and taxis can park outside this hotel. There is guardian parking here, too. BE VERY CAREFUL OF TOUTS.
