Reading the comments about the walk on the website we thought we could handle it. It is about a mile and uphill. It's a rather steep walk and not at all easy with luggage. Once we made it up there is nothing around the hostel. Luckily the girl at reception aloud us to eat with her after we gave her money. It was really good and seeing the sunset was amazing. It was really empty so it was kinda creepy but if you have a car and want to get away from Florence I would totally suggest staying the

Much better to stay here if you have a car, but do-able by bus. I won't stay anywhere else next time I'm in Florence. It's an old monastery with beautiful ceilings and you stay in the old hospital beds that are sectioned off by curtains. This place is amazing. It has a balcony where you can have dinner (bring it in with you) and overlooks fruit trees in the garden. Staff let me pick apricots to take with me the next day. Fantastic and atmospheric.
