Security is very poor, no in-room lockers, rooms are rarely locked. Staff seem pretty uninterested in their jobs. Hostel is sooo far from Florence centre, you have to take the overcrowded, cramped, non airconditioned bus there. Bathrooms lack privacy, and toilets aren't that clean. The actual setting of the place is OK though if you don't mind the above, it's very much like an American camp setting.

lovely setting, shower room pretty dirty, but with all using it, no wonder. Certainly sufficient sleeping quarters, excellent staff and lovely roommates. Thanks for allowing a weary 58 year old woman to rest for a couple of days.

This place is far from downtown, but within walking distance if youre up for it. There was one really rude lady who checked me in, and said I couldnt get my money back if I decided to leave early, which was not the case. There isnt much fun activities to do around the hostel. Plus if you are English speaking, not many of the guests are English, most are French and German. I probaby will never stay here again.

A little off the main path, but well worth it for the peace and serenity it offers. Simple and friendly-I recommend it!

Fun, college dorm-style room, lots of people and goings-on. Walk to the hostel from the bus stop is pretty brutal if you are backpacking and have a 30+ pound pack on!!! Overall a good location though, very close to a good bus stop, bus line goes right into downtown Florence in less than 30 minutes. As a side note on Florence in general: If you are traveling via train from any other Italian city make sure that you do not get off at the "Firenze Rifredi" station. This train station is in
