FROM LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX):

BY CAR: 105 Freeway East to 605 Freeway South to 91 Freeway East, then exit Harbor Blvd. Fullerton (North). We are 2.5 miles north of the 91 freeway.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: We don't recommend trying to reach the hostel from LAX via public transportation as it will take at least three buses and up to three hours. If you arrive at LAX during the day you can take an Airport FlyAway Bus to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles for $3. At the train station you can take an Amtrak or MetroLink train to the Fullerton Amtrak Station (directions from there are below). Train fares to Fullerton from Los Angeles are around $11.

BY SHUTTLE BUS: Take a SuperShuttle or PrimeTime Shuttle van from LAX directly to the hostel's front door (go to www.supershuttle.com or www.primetimestuttle.com for rate information or to make a reservation).

FROM FULLERTON TRAIN STATION:

Take the # 43 Bus (It will say 'North Court House' on the bus) tell the driver you are going to the hostel and get off at the 'Berkeley- North Courthouse' bus stop. Walk to Harbor Blvd. Cross the street and walk north on Harbor past the Automobile Club, Farmer's Boy Restaurant and Golfer Paradise Driving Range. The next drive way is the entrance to BREA DAM PARK. Walk up the road to the hostel. You can also take Bus #143 towards Beach/La Habra. Tell the bus driver that you would like to get off at Brea Dam Park. The bus stop is at the entrance of the park. Follow the 'HI' signs and make your way up the paved road up to the hostel. A typical bus fare is $2.00.

You can also walk from the train station, it is 1.5 miles, but we highly recommend taking the bus if you have luggage and/or a backpack.

The cost of a taxi from the Fullerton Train Station is around $8.00.

Located Near

HI-Fullerton is located within Brea Dam Park in the city of Fullerton. The hostel itself is a hacienda style home built in the 1920s and has been updated to suit our modern living standards. The hostel has easy access to Brea Dam Wilderness Area, a local hiking and mountain biking local, as well as Downtown Fullerton, Downtown Disney, Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. Additionally, Fullerton is a prime location for exploring all of SoCal due to its close proximity to the local train station.
