Barnacles is situated in the heart of Galway on the pedestrian street Quay Street. We are minutes walk from everywhere - cafes, pubs, transport, internet cafes, banks and heaps more. Close to tourist sites like Eyre Square, Spanish Arch, Lynch's Castle. In our cozy rooms, the hot shower and comfy mattresses will ensure you have a good res. Every room comes with an ensuite bathroom. We can make your stay easier, from having the basics for hire - like hair dryers, adaptors and alarm clocks - to doing your laundry and cooking you dinner.
Safe and Secure Reception is staffed 24 hours per day. All rooms have electronic security card access key. We have a secure room, accessible 24 hours a day, available for luggage and for your valuables, and safety deposit boxes are available. Useful things to know:

- Photo ID is required to check in.
- We pre authorise guest credit card the day before arrival for the cost of the first nights stay. Guest can do a completion on arrival or pay by another method.
- Check in is 3 pm, check out is 10am.
- No curfew, you can come and go as you please, our reception is open 24 hours.
- Please note that guests under the age of 16 years must book private accommodation, only staying with people in their party.
- If there are 6 or more in your party, you are considered a Group. We will require a fully refundable €30 deposit per person as A Group Noise and Damage Deposit.

From Galway Bus/Train station:
They're just five minutes from our hostel and are located in the same depot in the city centre so you don't have far to walk to find us.
Walk diagonally across Eyre Square. Turn left onto Williamsgate Street and continue straight down Shop Street. At the King's Head pub, keep left and walk down High Street onto Quay Street. We're situated on the right, opposite the Quays Pub.

There are approximately five trains running daily between Dublin and Galway; this is the only train link from Galway City.

There is an hourly bus service running between Dublin's central bus station (Busaras) and Galway Bus Station. Galway is well serviced by buses all over the country.

There is a private bus company operating a direct coach service between Dublin Airport and Galway City. The coach Operator is called Citylink.

From the airport:
Galway City is serviced by a small airport located about five miles from the city centre. There's no bus service from the airport to the city but there are ample taxis awaiting passengers.

Located Near

Opposite the famous Quays Bar on Quay Street. Located in the heart of entertainment district in Galway with many events happening right on our doorstep. We are only minutes walk from the famous 'shops' street. There is plenty of pubs, restaurants and night clubs in our immediate area.
