The Wetterstein mountains, one of the mightiest ranges in the northern Alps, tower above the town along with the Zugspitze, which at 2962 metres is Germany's highest peak. Alongside a wealth of leisure and sports opportunities, Garmisch Youth Hostel offers its guests a programme of nature and discovery-oriented activities on Alpine themes and endeavours to acquaint families and school classes with the fascinating mountain world of the Zugspitze. 207 beds in rooms, with two, three, four and six beds, each equipped with washing facilities or in many cases a shower/toilet; two of the rooms are suitable for disabled. Dining room with buffet service, cafeteria, six common and seminar rooms with technical equipment and 12 PC´s with Internet access, table tennis, leisure time, creativity and party room with boulder wall, weather station, piano. # Opening hours: Every day from 07.00 to 23.30 # Check-in times: From 16.00 to 22.00. For groups other arrival times are possible. Just call us to make arrangements. # The hostel is closed between 15 November and 26 December every year except Age restriction in Bavarian Youth Hostels Youth hostels are primarily intended for young people. For this reason, individuals over the age of 27 can only be accommodated in Bavarian youth hostels on an availability basis. This age restriction does not apply to group leaders or families accompanied by at least one minor. A surcharge on the quoted price is charged to guests older than 27. |

by car from munich:
take the A95 to the end and the B2 until Exit Farchant. leave the B2 and pass the town farchant. After the town you make at the next road a right turn; next street right again. Follow the Feldernkopfstr. until the Rosalmweg and make a left turn. You will reach our parking place.
Train station: take the local bus number 3 or 4 to Burgrain.
