Ogawaya in Gifu Gero Spa, Japan

Ogawaya is a Japanese traditional style hotel, nestled in the heart of the Gero Onsen(hot spring) site. Gero has long been one of Japan's most popular onsen resorts attracting many onsen fans. We have both indoor and outdoor onsen and also two private onsen for families. Our onsen is 100% natural onsen. The full view of the Hida river can be enjoyed while soaking in the outdoor onsen. The surrounding nature and our soothing onsen will sure bring you to comfort.

At the lobby, we welcome you with a footbath! Just putting your foot into the hot water will relieve your fatigue of the journey. The guests can rent a yukata (Japanese cotton light kimono) at the lobby so why not dress into the traditional style and stroll the onsen city!

Some guest rooms are clean, cozy Japanese-style en-suite rooms. The room with 4500 - 6500yen is an Western-style room without in-room bath tub. There is one barrier-free room which is a western-style room. Guests can command the view of the Hida river by opening the guest room's shoji(Japanese-style paper sliding-door). We do not have no-smoking rooms but there should be no smell of smoke left as we clean always keep rooms cleaned.

Gourmet dinner is available upon request which is highly recommended in order to fully appreciate the experience at a traditional Japanese hotel! We offer kaiseki courses using the local seasonal food such as Hida beef and Hida soba.

Room amenities include Yukata (Japanese cotton light robe), bath towel and face towels, soap,shampoo and hair conditioner, hair drier, brush and razor.
