El Granado is your home away from home in a very central location and is located between the Granada Cathedral and Monastery of St Jerome.
El Granado has the history of Granada within the walls of this unique and recently renovated property. El Granado is located right in the center with walking distance to everything Granada has to offer. We are five minutes from Granada's famous Cathedral.
There is free WiFi in all rooms, all common areas and the rooftop terrace.
El Granado's ground floor and half of the second floor date from the Nasrid period (13th -15th century) and then passes into the 16th and 17th century colonial style.
The hostel comes with all the commodities that the 21st century has to offer - heating, warm water showers, TV and WiFi/ Internet connection (dedicated desktop)

Getting to El Granado by Car:-
We advise travelers coming by car to enter Granada from highway A-44 on exit 128 Mendez Nunez, and drive towards the city center, passing Plaza Albert Einstein and Hotel Granada Center on your right hand side. When the road makes a Y, turn right into Rector Lopez Argueta street until it ends and then turn right on Gran Capitan street. 200 meters down this road after passing the Monastery of San Jeronimo you will find the Gran Capitan underground public parking. Walk straight out of the car park and cross the road. The second street to the left is Calle Conde de Tendillas. El Granado is located a short way up on the right.
From the Bus Station:-
Take city bus SN1 to "Calle Doctor Severo Ochoa - Campus Universtario Fuente Nueva". Hop off the bus, cross the street and keep walking in the same direction as the bus to street “Calle Rector López Argüeta” to your left. Take this street to the end and turn right on “Calle Gran Capitan”. About 150 meters down this street is the Monastery of San Jeronimo. Turn left into “Calle Duquesa” Street. The second street on the right is the “Calle Conde de Tendillas”. El Granado is located a short way down on the left.
From the Train Station:-
From the train station a taxi costs around €6 and a walk will take around 20 minutes. Refer to www.elgranado.com for a map of the short walk from the train station.
From the Airport:-
Buses to the city center cost €3.50 and drop off at the stop “Gran Vía 1 - Los Jardines del Triunfo”. Backtrack a little away from the direction of the bus and turn left down the “Calle San Juan de Dios”. After about a 5 minutes walk you will see the Monastery of San Jeronimo on your right. Turn left into “Calle Duqesa”. The second street on your right is the “Calle Conde de Tendillas” and El Granado is located a short way down on the left.
Taxi costs are estimated and dependent on the traffic. The taxi meter is reliable.

El Granado is surrounded by history and as well as Granada's many tapas bars and museums.
We are situated next to Botanical Garden and the Department of Law and Justice that was founded by Charles V in 1526. On the other side you find the Monastery and Church of San Jeronimo.
We are a 5 minute walk from the historical centre of Granada, the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel of the Catholic kings. From the Cathedral you can catch a bus up to the Alhambra situated on a hill overlooking Granada.
