Namdo Hostel is the only hostel in Gwangju Metropolitan city which is one of the major cities in Korea.
Though the size (10 beds in total in 2 rooms) is small, Namdo Hostel provides home-like and cozy atmosphere.
As the cultural, political and economical center of South-west province of Korea, Gwangju city is the right place for the base camp for trip to South-western area of Korea.
Aroung the city, there are so many tour spots such as Damyang-gun (bamboo forest), Boseong-gun (green tea field), Suncheon city (sunset at Suncheon bay) and so on.

Anything that can disturb other guests is not allowed.

Pick-up service at pick-up points is available for free. Pick-up points are Gwangju Bust Terminal, Gwangju Station and Ssangchon Subway Station.
Prices are per person per night.

From the Bus Terminal.
By Walking : Come out of the gate 1 and at the crossroads on your left, make left turn. Go straight to Hwajeong Subway Station. Make right and just after the overhead bridge make right and you can find a supermarket. The 3rd floor of the building is my place.

By Bus : Take one of the buses numbered #36,47 and 69 at the opposite side of the Bus Terminal. (You have to Cross the street through the underground path.) And, get off at 'Sangmu il dong Jumin center' and walk a little to the crossroads of Ssangchon (subway) station. Cross the street to your left (toward EXIT #4 of Ssangchon station). Walk straight for 50 meters and make left turn before the overhead bridge. 3 floor of the supermarket (named 나들가게) is my place.

From the Subway Station.
Come out of come out of EXIT #4 of Ssangchon station. Walk straight for 50 meters and make left turn befor the overhead bridge. 3 floor of the supermarket and WOW PC Zone is my place.

Come out of EXIT #3 of Hwajeong station. Walk straight for 300 meters and turn right after the overhead bridge. 3 floor of the supermarket and WOW PC Zone is my place.

From the Gwangju station
Take the bus #160 and get off at Jatdeung Yukgyo. Right turn and you'll see the supermarket and WOW PC Zone. 3rd floor is my place.

From the Gwangju Songjeong station
Take the subway and get off at Ssangchon station. Come out of come out of EXIT #4 of Ssangchon station. Walk straight for 50 meters and make left turn befor the overhead bridge. 3 floor of the supermarket and WOW PC Zone is my place.

Located Near

3 minutes walking distance from Subway (Ssagnchon) station.
3 stops away from the Bus terminal by bus (about 20-25 minutes walking distance).
6 stops away from train (Gwangju Songjeong) station by subway.

About an hour to Damyang (Bamboo Forest)

An hour and half to Boseong (Green-tea field)

One hour to Suncheon (Jogyesan mountain, Songkwang-sa temple, Seonam-sa temple, Suncheon bay of fantastic sunset over the sea)

One hour to Mokpo (Yudalsan mountain)

Yungam (F1 Fomula Korea Grand Prix)
