About Hanoi Backpackers Hostel

Address: 48 Ngo Huyen, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, Vietnam
One of the first hostels in Hanoi, the Hanoi Backpackers' Hostel offers fun and friendly accommodation to backpackers and independent travelers. We are a Hostelling International property and have a range of affordable, air-conditioned dormitories and private rooms. Linen, breakfast and internet access are included in the rates.

We are situated in a quiet lane just 100 meters from the front steps St Joseph's Cathedral. Perfectly located to explore the Old Quarter, we are a 3-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake and a 20-minute walk from Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

We host regular BBQ parties from our roof top terrace, and happy hour in the bar starts at 17:00 every day. Other facilities include a guest kitchen, a common room and bicycle hire, and we offer a transit-stop service where visitors just passing through Hanoi can store their luggage and take a shower. Airport pick-ups are available.

In fact more of place to crash for people who come to \'nam for cheap drinks rather than travel. Non-vietnamese staff also tends to be focussed on happy hour. Still, if you start your tour (north -> south) there, you will also run into some people with useful advice who come the other direction. Simon, from Germany ~ 28th Feb 2012
