The Central City Backpackers in Hobart, Australia

Great location, city central walking distance to markets and all the shops. Staff are very friendly and helpful to organise tours/car. Only downside is that our room was very noisy on the first 2 nights fronting Collins St, with the cleaning truck at 5am and drunks outside. There are no lifts, so be prepared to hoist your luggage up 2 sets of stairs. Xing, from Australia ~ 24th Nov 2009

This hostel has a really nice atmosphere. It is very centrally located and almost all main attractions are within walking distance. The bathroom/kitchen was very clean. There are no lockers in the room but before/after check in it is possible to use the safe storage area next to the reception. At nighttime you get a code to come into the hostel. I felt all in all safe here. The staff are very friendly and interested to help you what`s to do in Hobart/Tasmania. I enjoyed my 2 day`s here.
