Thank you for your support for the past years. We have achieved high rating of 92% and above since we are open! For this summer, stay with us in our lovely 10-bed dorm from 499NTD.

We want to introduce travelers from all over the world the beauty of Taiwan, particularly Hualien County. We wish to make our hostel as one of your memorable stops in Taiwan.

Colorful Taiwan Hostel is hosted by experienced backpackers who have visited over thirty counrties and numerous accommodations. We can offer all the detailed information of Hualien, where to go, when to go, where to eat…everything you need to know about Hualien.

Colorful Taiwan Hostel's philosophy is to create a warm, cozy, and friendly environment for travelers of all ages. We love our Country and City so our Aim is to introduce the beauty of colorful Taiwan and Hualien for all travelers.

Hualien is noted for its amazing natural attractions like Taroko Gorge, Li Yu Lake, Chi-Hsing Tan BEACH, Lin Tian Mountain….etc.

There are many outdoor activities to do in Hualien, including Whitewater rafting, river tracing, firefly in spring, surfing, mountain-climbing, Biking and Hiking Trails, Whale watch tour, pedal boat, hot spring and flower farm in winter….etc.

So many great places to go!!!! Explore and have fun in Hualien! What are you waiting for??!!


Our lobby is very cozy with a big couch, where you can sit back and relax, reading, listening to music, surfing internet or just doing nothing.

We care about your safety. so we made sure to use a very strong teak (type of wood) bed which will not shake when the upper bed is moving. We provide warm and soft bedquilt and pillow. There is toilet, shampoo, soap, hairdryer, locker, Wi-Fi, small desk and chair, dressing mirror, small balcony and drying clothes rack in every room.

Zi Qiang Night Market (20 min walk or 10 min by bike)
City Center (20 min walk or 10 min by bike)

We didn't have picked up service. Because we just located 3 blocks from rear site of train station.

*Since we are a private hostel, we do not take walk-in guests. Please arrive within 2 hrs of your scheduled arrival time, or there may not be someone here to let you in. Just let us know if you are coming late or early.

*Our reception hours are from 15:00 pm till 10:30 pm.

*If you check in after 10:30 pm we will charge 100 NTD for overtime pay.

*Your rooms/beds will be canceled after midnight on the day of arrival if you have not contacted us before hand to let us know you're going to be late. Thanks!

**Please note that upon arrival full payment is due in cash (NTD). Credit cards and debit cards are not accepted. **
