HI Hyannis, voted Best HI hostel in North America 2012 and always highly rated, is a great base for exploring Cape Cod. Located on Hyannis harbor. the hostel is 1km (0.6 mi) from the Hyannis transportation center, served by regional and local bus service, and a short walk from the ferry docks, where boats travel to and from Nantucket and Marths'a VIneyard. Hostellers can walk to Hyannis' busy Main Street within minutes, or to the Kennedy Museum and Monument.

We suggest Google maps or Mapquest for mapping the journey. From all points off Cape Cod: Cross at the Sagamore Bridge. Continue on route 6 (Mid-Cape Highway) approximately 13 miles. Take exit 6 to MA-132 (Iyannough Rd) toward Barnstable/Hyannis. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Barnstable Rd. Barnstable Rd becomes Ocean St. The hostel will be about one mile from the traffic circle, on the right.
For bus service, take the Plymouth and Brockton Bus from South Station in Boston and get off at the Hyannis Transportation Center. From New York City and Providence RI, take the Peter Pan Bus to the Hyannis Transportation Center. Local bus service to the Transportation Center is also available from Falmouth/Woods Hole, Eastham/Orleans, and Truo/Provincetown.
It is a 0.8 mi walk from the Hyannis Transportation Center to the hostel (see map below). Or, catch the free Hyannis Trolley to the Ocean Street ferry docks(seasonal service only - check website for details) and walk across the street to the Hostel.
