By road from Glasgow

Take the A82 North along Loch Lomond to Tarbert and then take the A83 round the head of Loch Fyne to Inveraray. Allow one and a half hours. Use the directions option in the Google Map above for turn by turn directions.

By road from Oban

Take the A85 North to Connel, Taynuilt and Loch Awe. Turn Right onto the A819 to Inveraray. Allow about one hour.

By bus

There are two buses that pass Inveraray. Glasgow to Oban (and back) and Glasgow to Campbeltown (and back).

Located Near

Inveraray is a small town in the southern Highlands of Scotland with a range of shops, restaurants, 2 pubs and a cash machine.

Attractions include a magnificent 18th century castle, set in wooded grounds and gardens, and a jail where you can experience the lifestyle of former inmates! There are local forest walks and a modest climb to a viewpoint with a fantastic view down the loch.
