Inverness Youth Hostel
One of Scotland's top Hostels, our modern and comfortable 4 star Hostel offers superb facilities in the capital of the Highlands. With a warm welcome and buzzing atmosphere the hostel is popular with guests from all over the world. Small rooms, an excellent self-catering kitchen & also catered meals make it popular for groups and families. There is plenty to do in Inverness with excellent cinemas, traditional music venues, pubs, galleries and a castle steeped in history. Further afield Loch Ness, the Black Isle and Culloden should be on everybody's list of places to visit. This area is also awash with great marine and wildlife, as well as many interesting mountain bike routes.
Reception is open between 7am-10am & 3pm- 11pm daily.

Hostelling Scotland is a charity aiming to inspire all, especially young people, to broaden their horizons, gain knowledge and independence through new experiences of adventure and discovery. In support of this aim, all bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night which is displayed as an inclusive rate. (Full, existing members of Hostelling Scotland and HI using this booking engine are not entitled to a membership refund).
Inverness Youth Hostel reception is open 07.00-23.00, with check-in from 15.00 and checkout by 10.00. A night porter is on duty for late check-in to 02.00. Access outside opening hours is by pre-arrangement only.
From the age of 5 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and may be accommodated in a single-gendered shared room with the parent or guardian and other guests, at the discretion and responsibility of the parent or guardian. The young person/people, the parent/guardian and the other occupants of the room must be of the same gender.
Hostelling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when travelling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodation is available. Contact details can be found on your booking confirmation.
Parties with young children (under 5 years) will only be accommodated in designated family rooms, where available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots in a shared dormitory or private accommodation.
When booking for more than 9 people:
• Full prepayment is required within 8 weeks of arrival as otherwise the booking will automatically be cancelled
• The following cancellation charges will apply to the entire booking:
57 days or more - 20% of total cost
56 to 29 days - 55% of total cost
28 to day of arrival - 100% of total cost
No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel.

By bus: from Inverness Bus Station turn left onto Academy Street. Keep left and follow road around the corner past the shopping centre. Go past Morrisons supermarket and take the first road on the right (Victoria Drive). Inverness Youth Hostel is halfway up the hill on the left (10 minute walk).
By train: from Inverness Station turn left onto Academy Street. Keep left and follow road around the corner past the shopping centre. Go past Morrisons supermarket and take the first road on the right (Victoria Drive). The youth hostel is halfway up the hill on the left (10 minute walk).
From A9 south & north - leave the A9 at junction signposted for Aberdeen and Nairn (A96). At the roundabout take B865 into the town centre (first exit) and pass the Thistle Hotel straight ahead at the mini roundabout. Victoria Drive is the second road on the left.
From A82 - follow the road through the town centre. Take fourth exit at Shore Street roundabout. Follow this road (Academy Street), round the corner (at M&S) and past Morrisons supermarket. Victoria Drive is first on the right.
Inverness Youth Hostel is nestled in a quiet, secure area only 10 minutes from the city centre and train station. Nearby are historic sites such as Culloden Moor and Fort George; or travel further afield to see Urquhart Castle. For a more adventurous trip, enjoy dolphin spotting, mountain biking and kayaking or explore the nearby coast and stunning Highland landscape.
