Suikinkutsu literally means Japanese water zither in a cave, because of the mysterious sounds made by droplets of water falling into a ceramic pot underground. Suikinkutsu dates back 400 years to the beginning of the Edo Era and is said to be originally degined by Kobori Enshu, a famous gardener and chagin or person practicing Japanese tea, and has been placed in traditional Japanese gardens since.
Kawasaki is a town associated with Seta-gawa River. The houses and warehouses line for one kilometer on both sides, giving us the image of the flourishing scenes of the former business center. The old buildings of a special architectural style remain in various places along the river. Even today, people continue to live and work in the old buildings, offering this area a vibrant atomosphere.
Payment by CASH is preferable.
Make sure NOT to use the Exits of JR Ise-shi Station, which is adjoined the Kintesu Ise-shi Station. Walk toward Ominato on the street from the North Exit.
