Overlooked by the spectacular Cuillin Mountains, Glenbrittle Youth Hostel is a great place to spend a few days
There is no bus service to/from Glenbrittle - the nearest bus stop is at Carbost, 8 miles from Glenbrittle. A87 towards Portree. Left at Sligachan on the A863 towards Dunvegan. Left at Drynoch on the B8009 towards Carbost and Talisker Distillery. Left before Carbost on unclassified single track. Road to Glenbrittle - 7 miles from junction. (SatNav advice: If travelling from Fort William to the Isle of Skye, please check ferry times for Mallaig to Armadale. Most SatNav software proposes this ferry journey, which has a limited daytime service). Please email or call the Glenbrittle Hostel directly if you are unfamiliar with the Isle of Skye and we will make sure to help you get here! Also please note that we do not receive mobile phone coverage here, TV or internet access. The nearest grocery shop is about 8 miles away but we have an abundance of food stuffs and basics here at the hostel so if your walking don't weigh yourself down with shopping! |
