Edging the water on the northern side of İstanbul’s Galata Bridge, Karaköy is an exhilarating and contradictory neighbourhood within Beyoglu where tradesmen’s workshops share narrow streets with chic cafes and galleries, and where bohemian boutiques coexist alongside traditional bakeries. In many ways, it’s a microcosm of modern İstanbul.

Bada Bing's strategic locale is right in the heart of Karakoy, and walking distance to the awe-inspiring historical district of Sultanahmet. If you want to sleep away from the overwhelm of Taksim's nightlife and old city's touristy environment, Bada Bing's neighbourhood is right for you.

Bada Bing Hostel is situated in Karakoy; the hippest neighbourhood, right in the city centre of Istanbul. Sheets, WiFi, security lockers, internet access and luggage storage are all inclusive.

Our hostel has 7 rooms and 30 beds. We have a cosy foyer with good music and drinks. We are a young and energetic team and will make your stay in Istanbul a memorable and wonderful experience. Use Bada Bing Hostel as your base to experience the vibrant nightlife and the beautiful city herself with a whole a lot of ancient sights and museums.

Our friendly staff will help you find anything you need in Istanbul.

Bada Bing Hostel is perfectly located in the midst of the city’s coolest centre, steps away from the Modern Museum of Istanbul and within walking distance of the historic centre. Karakoy is the most central neighbourhood for visiting Galata, Beyoglu, Sultanahmet, Spice Market, The Hagia Sophia and Asiatic part of Istanbul.

From Tophane Tram Stop to Bada Bing

We’re smack dab in the middle of the Karakoy and Tophane tram stops. It’ is easiest to navigate the streets if you get off at Tophane, and, walk towards Karakoy stop (or Galata bridge ), on the street that has the tram line. Go about 300 meters. Turn left at the street called Arapoglan, where the HSBC BANK is (also a bar called Finn in the street, or when you’'re opposite the outdoor equipments store called Hedef) Then turn right immediately onto Serçe Street. Bada Bing is there!

If you are too lazy to commute, we also offer pick ups. Please contact us to get information on airport pick-ups.

If you are thinking of taking a taxi, make sure to write down our phone number and kindly ask the driver to call us for the directions. Because the taxi drivers don't always seem to know where to go especially once they find out that you don't know where to go :)

If you are thinking of commuting;

From Ataturk Airport:» Take the Metro to Zeytinburnu station and transfer to T1 tram. (The tram runs from 06.00 in the morning till 23.55 at night). Ride the tram to Tophane, on the way to Kabatas. Please see the top of the article for the directions from Tophane tram stop.

If you are too late to catch the metro, then you should take the “Havatas” * shuttle bus to “Taksim Square” Please see the directions below from Taksim square.

*(Havatas bus does not run between 01.00 and 04.00)

From Sabiha Gokcen Airport: » Take the "Havatas" shuttle bus to “Kadikoy.” Bus trip will take 30 to 45 minutes. You will find a ferry port at the end of your bus trip. Take the ferry* to “Karakoy” We are only a few minutes walk from Karakoy ferry port.

*(Ferry runs until 23.00!)

If you are too late to catch the ferry, then you should take the “Havatas” * shuttle bus to “Taksim Square” Please see the directions below from Taksim square.

*(Havatas bus does not run between 01.00 and 04.00)

From Taksim Square:» If you arrive in Taksim Square before 23.30, you can take the subway shuttle (called the Füniküler) down to Kabatas and then T1 tram for two stops over to Tophane. (Please see the directions from Tophane tram stop) If you decide to take a taxi from taksim square, DO NOT take any of the taxies waiting by the buses! They are waiting for the tourists to rip off! Just walk for a few minutes to the main road and take one from the main road, and make sure they turn the meter on! The fare should be around 15-20 Turkish Liras and if the driver demands more than that, don't pay him and just get one of us to deal with it. We have 24 hours reception!

It will take you about 30 minutes if you wish to walk from Taksim Square to Bada Bing! If you want to do so, Find Istiklal Ave. by Taksim Square. (Istiklal Caddesi in Turkish) It’s a pedestrian-only shopping avenue with a nostalgic tram and Christmas lights on all year round! There is a Burger King right at the beginning of the avenue. Walk on Istiklal for about 600 meters until you get to a major intersection. You will see a statue made of pipes at the intersection. Turn left there and walk all the way down for about 700 meters till you get to Tophane tram stop! Turn right at Tophane tram stop and follow the directions on the top.
