More shuttle runs need to be made between the town and the hostel, e.g. a 745am, 9am, 12pm and 545pm so that you don't have to spend 10hrs in Jasper to avoid paying the $36rtn cab fare.

I understand it would be better if there were more shuttle times during the winter, unfortunately we just don't have the occupancy or demand during the winter season to run our shuttle multiple times a day. Our current shuttle schedule is based on the most efficient times to with the greatest demands and is coordinated with the Greyhound Schedule and Marmot Basin Ski Bus Schedule times. Morning Picking up from the Greyhound at Bus/Train Station @ 7:30am Heading down from the Hostel to the Bus/Train Station @ 7:45am so hostel guests can connect with the first Marmot Basin Ski Shuttle of the day. Afternoon Heading down from the Hostel to the Bus/Train Station @ 5:30pm Picking up from the Bus/Train Station @5:45pm connecting with the last Marmot Basin Ski Bus Schedule and the last run back in to Bus/Train Station @ 6:00pm All this being said the friendly staff at the front desk try to assist in pairing stranded guests who are planing to get into town outside of these times with guest who have cars and are willing to share their ride. It is just a matter of asking the front desk to see if anyone is heading into town. The best deal in town is Mr.Taxi 780-931-2-931 with a $15 flat rate + grat (usually $1 or $dollars) depending on luggage. He can carry up to four people so when you split that up with your new friends you met at the hostel it is about $4.00 per person. During the busy season (April-October) Hostel Guests can hop on the Jasper Tramway Shuttle for $5.00 per person and it runs every 30 to 45 min from 9am-5pm as it runs right past the door of the hostel. I really enjoyed my time at the HI-Jasper. I liked the bear talk and meeting the other travellers. the staff was VERY helpful when deciding to do activities away from the hostel. Thanks for a great start to my 2-week vacation! -Jill
