First of all it is important to know that there are two ferry lines going to Hvar, both transport cars, as well as two catamaran lines. Ferries departing from Split arrive to Stari Grad, and the ones departing from Drvenik arrive to Sucuraj. Catamarans come directly to Hvar and Jelsa with departures from Split and Brac. Besides the regular lines going all year round there are some you can use only in the summer months. Such as the line Pescara-Stari Grad-Split, as well as the international line (two times a week) Ancona-Stari Grad-Split-Korcula.
