A total rip-off. They added extra service charges and fees at check out time in addition to rate on this website. They contacted me via email and offered a free airport pick up, but charged me more than twice what a pre-paid taxi would have cost. I argued but eventually paid, which I regret. There are much better hotels in Thamel that don't rip you off. Do not stay here, you will regret it.

Jason, your comment in the hostel world came with a big surprise as i have been greatly shocked. First of all let me tell you about the pick up charge, you please go through the hostel world and check one more time for your kind information that we charge USD 8 for the pick up to each and every guests booking an economy room and i guess you won't deny that you have booked an economy room. Secondly, as the extra service charge regards, we expalined you very clearly that this amount is for the sake of staff as a tips and if you do not want to pay you do not need to pay as we were not insisting you and we even asked you if you want your money back and we were ready to give it back immediately. Dear Jason, we try to be friendly with each and every guest rather than treating them as a customer as in our Nepali culture we treat guests as a god. To be very honest, i thought you were very happy staying in our guest house and enjoyed a lot and now i knew how wrong i was . Anyways, we are very sorry if you think we have been very unfair with you and beg for an apolozy. If you have argued twice with all these service charge we wouldn't charge you for that and when the free pick up is concerned, we are very sorry to say that we wouldn't be able to provide you a free pick up as it is against our hotel's rule and it is cystal clearly mentioned that the pick charge is USD 8 for the guests booking an economy room.

great situation and the garden out back is awesome considering the rest of Kathmandu is so hectic. staff are nice and the rooms are basically what your paying cheap prices for; not bad. rory, from Wales ~ 11th May 2009
