About Kusatsu Onsen Kiyoshigekan

We are Japanese style hotel, Ryokan, and our location is in the center of Kusatsu Onsen, one of the most famous hot spring resorts in Japan, only 10 minutes walk from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal. You can enjoy our PURE natural hot spring bath PRIVATELY, and relax a FULL morning on the day you leave. Our check-out time is until 12:00 at noon.

Kusatsu Onsen hot spring is relaxing and good for health, even possible to cure diseases. We have 2 large public bathrooms, one for men and one for women. Each bathroom has one indoor bath, and one outdoor bath. If you are not comfortable taking bath with other people, which is a Japanese custom, you can use our private bathrooms. We have one private bath indoor, and one outdoor.

All rooms in our main building are Japanese style. We have 3 different size rooms. The size of 6, 8, or 10 tatami mats. Toilet and sink in all rooms, but no bath. Our annex is an apartment building, with 4 apartments. Each apartment has a living room, 2 Japanese style rooms, a bath, and a toilet. The bath, however, is not a hot spring bath. You can come to the main building for hot spring bath.

Meals are served at the dinning hall in the main building. We offer delicious Japanese seasonal food.

From Ueno Station to Takasaki Station, JR Takasaki Line, 1 hour 40 minutes.
From Takasaki Station to Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi Station, JR Agatsuma Line, 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Then take a bus to Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal, 30 minutes.

By Bus:
From Shinjuku, take the express highway bus to Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal, 4 hours.

Our Ryokan is 10 minutes walk from the bus terminal.
The bus terminal is right by Route 292, also called Japan Romantic St. (Nihon Romanchikku Kaido). Walk east on Route 292 for 10 minutes and you will see us on the right side of the street.

From Shin-Osaka Station to Tokyo Station, JR Nozomi Shinkansen, 2 hours 30 minutes.
From Tokyo Station to Ueno Station, JR Yamanote Line, 7 minutes.
