A good time in the center of Geisha Area.
A-yado Gion Guest House recently opened in the cultural center of Japan,Kyoto. It's one of the most convenient accomodation for Kyoto explorers, located right in the middle of the city center, 5minutes on foot from Hankyu and Keihan railway main stations.
Furthermore our accomodation lies in the middle of the exclusive Geisha district, Gion. This area is made of hundreds of Japanese old-style houses, Machiya alongside a beautiful small stream,Shirakawa. In the evening these streets are coloured with beautiful illumination from restaurants and Geisha walking around. It is the best place for the travelers to get in touch with the profoundness of Japanese culture.
Not only accessible to all the beautiful spots in Kyoto, the location makes it easy for you to reach exciting surrounding cities as Nara, Osaka and Kobe and to enjoy lively nightlife in Japan.
Office hours and Check-in
Reception: Open between 8:00 and 21:00.
Check-in time: Between 15:00 and 20:00. Guests can come to the guest house before 15:00.
Last check-in is at 20:00 on the day of your reservation. Please note that if we have not heard from you even after 20:00, the reservation will be cancelled.
Guest room hours of use:
Guests can use the guest room after15:00 (We can hold your luggage if necessary but we cannot store valuables.)
Check-out time:
10:00. Please let us know in advance if you would like to lengthen your stay.
Curfew:
We do not have a curfew or lock-out time.
CancellationsIf you wish to cancel a reservation, please let us know two days before your arrival date. A cancellation fee will be charged if we receive notice of a cancellation on the day of the check-in or on the day before. In the event that we do not receive a cancellation notice, all reservations will be automatically cancelled.

Bus terminal of JR Kyoto Karasuma-chuo-guchi
Take No.100 or No. 206 bus at a bus stop Ｄ1 in a counterclockwise direction for about 15 min. Get off at 'Gion' and walk 3 mins.
Please go north the intersection of Shijo street and Hanamikoji street. Turn right into Hanamikoji street and walk apporoximately 300 meters.
The guest house is located on the northeast corner of Shinmonzen street and Hanamikoji street！！

Very nice and helpful staff. The hostel is very clean and safe. I would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Kyoto. The only thing I would change is that there is no security for your luggage (unless you trust everyone in the room), but there is a small safe that will fit your passport and important documents.
