'Hostel HARUYA Aqua' is a typical architecture of a traditional townhouse. We renovated it for the vision 'Discover Japan Experience'. We wish to offer travelers an opportunity to meet Japanese culture, exchange cultural experiences and understand each other. Hostel HARUYA Aqua' is located in 8 minutes from Kyoto station by bus. Numerous famous temples, shrines, main shopping areas, and Geisha district called Gion are on the one way access. Since it is easy to access JR Kyoto station, you can easily make day trips to Nara and Osaka. Friendly English speaking staffs are there with up-to-date local travel information. Place near by Our hostel is located in Kyoto station area (Main terminal station to go sightseeing everywhere). Within walking distance, you'll find restaurants, convenient stores, and ATM 24hours. Our check-in time is 4:00PM to 9:00PM. - The entrance will be locked at 9:00AM. If you are late, your reservation is automatically canceled, and the cancellation fee is needed. Please be forewarned. Room Information Female Dormitory Room: 6 people, female only, with terrace *Comfortable sleep with Classic bunk beds. *There is bed curtain and bed light. With an exclusive terrace. Basic Twin Room Japanese style: 2 persons private room *It is very small room only about 5.5 square meter. *You could take only what you need and check your baggage at front desk. Basic Twin Room Western-style: 2 persons private room *Western-style room with Beds on Japanese garret. *It is very small room only about 5.5 square meter. *You could take only what you need and check your baggage at front desk. Basic Triple Room: Western-style 3 persons private room *Western-style room with Beds on Japanese garret. *The width of this room is about 10 square meter. Standard Twin Room: Japanese Style 2persons private room *Japanese style room with FUTON. *The width of this room is about 12 square meter with a porch and toilet. Deluxe room with Porch: Japanese Style Room for 2-4 people *Japanese style room with FUTON. *The width of this room is about 14 square meter with a porch. *Check-in between 16:00-21:00, Check-out before 11:00 *The entrance will be locked at 9:00AM. *By bus - (8min, 220yen )
Take The Kyoto City bus #205 (at B3 platform) and get off at 'Nanajo Omiya / KYOTO AQUARIUM', the third stop from Kyoto station. Walk back towards the traffic light intersection that you just crossed in the bus, but turn right into the small side-street before the main intersection (DON'T cross). Walk about 50 meters then turn right and walk about another 15 meters to where you will find the hostel on the left side with a blue curtain at the front.
-Please visit the Bus ticket center at Kyoto station to buy a City Bus All-day Pass (500yen). If you take more than 3 times a day, we recommend that you buy a All-day Bus Pass.
-The most famous bakery in Kyoto 'Shin Shin Do' is in the same Bus ticket center building. Get the bread for the breakfast. Open: 6:30〜20:00

Choose 'MK taxi' with Heart-mark. Tell a driver 'Hostel HARUYA Aqua' (NOT just 'Hostel HARUYA'). It costs about 1000yen from Kyoto station. It takes 10minutes. Turn left into the small street and walk about 15 meters to where you will find the hostel on the left side with a blue curtain at the front.
