Our cheery hostel is in the center of the city, just 1½ blocks from the bus terminal, with common areas including an in-house bar and BBQ area, and social activities from themed parties to Spanish classes. The friendly staff at Pirwa La Paz is eager to make your stay in La Paz a great experience! Pirwa Hostels La Paz offers private rooms and well as shared dormitory rooms, some with private baths, some with shared. All have beds with comfortable semi-orthopedic mattresses and down pillows and bedcovers, and hot water access 24/7. In the dormitories there are security lockers for your valuables. There’s an in-house bar where you can relax with other travelers, a TV & Movie Lounge with foosball and other games, and a green patio with BBQ grill and an unbeatable view of the city. On certain days we offer themed parties, dance classes, and Spanish classes. Pirwa Travel Service also has a counter for providing guests with travel information. Use of computers in the Internet Room is free, and there’s Wi-Fi throughout. Other included services include free coca tea, continental breakfast, pickups from the bus terminal between the hours of 7am and 7pm, and luggage storage. |

There are three types of shared public transportation in La Paz: regular buses or 'micros'; shared vans, called 'mini buses', and shared taxis running set routes advertised on the windshield, called 'trufis'. The former cost Bs 1,30 while the second are Bs 1,50-2,30 depending on duration. A trufi will generally cost you Bs 3 to 3,50.
