Sleepy Inn Lijiang was converted from a Naxi minority family's house and garden. All the buildings reflect the rich fabric of the locale through their design and furnishings. Two main guestroom buildings include 17 comfortable guestrooms all with modernized bathrooms. A two-level house is situated in the back garden and serves as a multi-functional lounge. Sleepy Inn Lijiang has the only swimming pool with water coming from the snow mountain. The front yard is traditional Naxi style designed and a terrace located in the front yard has excellent views of the river and trees besides the house.
Sleepy Inn Lijiang is centrally located in the Shuhe Ancient Town, Lijiang, Yunnan Province of China. Shuhe Ancient Town is one of the three ancient towns of Lijiang. Different from the Dayan Ancient Town, Shuhe features more natural and peaceful elements. There are excellent views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the town due to its proximate distance. The water supply in the town is spring water coming from the snow mountain. In addition, Shuhe Ancient Town used to be an important hub on the old Tea-Horse Road. This historic town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 for its multi-ethnic charm, historical milieu and architectural landscape.

Shuhe was previously an important station of the old Tea-Horse Road and famous for its leather goods. You can experience historical relics and current modern lifestyle through horsing the old Tea-Horse Road.

Hunting
Traditionally, Naxi minority residents have a special hunting activity which could be traced back to Yuan Dynasty around 800 years ago. It was also called "Men's Game" because only men are allowed to join this special hunting. The hunting has to be conducted by Men, falcons and hunting dogs. Local people raise falcons which are used as tempting baits during the hunting. It would be unforgettable once you experience this special "Men's Game".

Guo Zhuang (Dancing around a Fire)
Guangzhuang is a traditional activity for young men and women gathering and dancing around a fire during the night time. Now, it is not a daily program for local residents. More and more tourists join it. It becomes a popular nightlife program for all tourists visiting Lijiang.

How to get to Sleepy Inn Lijinag?
Road
Lijiang is located to the northwest of Yunnan Province, near Sichuan and Tibet. It has a well-established road transportation network. Sleepy Inn provides FREE transportation to and from Lijiang Bus Service Center (丽江汽车客运服务中心) with a traffic time of around 15 minutes.
Air
It is around 30 kilometers between Lijiang Airport and the town center and takes about RMB100 by taxi for one way. In addition to taxi, there is also a shuttle bus (民航专线) service between the two places. The start point is at the exit of the arrival hall of the airport and the end point is at the door of Yunnan Airlines located in the new town (along Shangri-La Avenue and close to Li Ke Long, the largest shopping mall in the town). It takes around 40 minutes and RMB150 per person for one way. Sleepy Inn provides FREE transportation to and from the end station at Yunnan Airlines. Sleepy Inn also has a direct airport pick-up service with a charge of RMB100 for one way.
