The deepest lake in the world in Russian Siberia is a great opportunity for real adventures and wonderful vacations in the wild nature. You can have a great time here in summer as well as in winter. You can find any kind of activities here - skiing and skating in winter, fishing, hiking, kayaking, horse-riding, bird-watching and animal-watching in summer, and many other exciting things to do.We suggest that you make the first stop in one of the most beautiful places on Baikal - Bolshie Koty, a small hideaway village, 90 km (56 miles) from Irkutsk.Staying here for a few days, you will have a good chance to start your acquaintance with the Lake without losing usual comfort.Uniqueness of the village is provided by absence of traffic and trains - the only way to get here is a boat or your own feet. And at the same time you will find all necessary services in our cozy hostel.

How to get from Irkutsk:On central bus station take minibus to Listvyanka (about 1 hour trip, minibuses run all day long).In Winter:You can walk 16 km from Listvyanka on ice - it's quite safe and really worth doingOr you can hire snowmobiles in ListvyankaOr we can arrange for a car transfer (depends on weather conditions, on request)In Summer:In Listvyanka you can take a regular boat ('Voskhod', goes on schedule*, about 30 minutes trip) or walk by foot.Walking tour will take you about 4-6 hours (18 km). In Listvyanka you start from Gudina street. The road will change into a forest path which will lead you directly to Bolshie Koty village.Our address in the village - Lesnaya, 7. (You will see the sign on the gate).Important: please don't start your way from Listvyanka on the coastline - it will lead you to a dangerous path - so it's necessary to walk along Gudina street.*Regular boat Voskhod schedule:High season (July and August) - every day.Shoulder season (September) every day except Monday and Thursday, dep. from Listvyanka at 13.30.Tickets are sold on board.Navigation starts in the end of June and stops in the end of September.Please call or email us to book and get more detailed information.
