About Orbit Hotel & Hostel
Orbit hostel is located on the West side of Hollywood and borders Beverly Hills where you will be centrally located with all of the sites and sounds of L.A within walking distance, including Melrose Strip, Beverly Hills and the Sunset Strip.
The hostel offers both dorm and private rooms -Private rooms have a comfortable queen size bed and TV, with a view of Melrose Avenue or the West Hollywood Hills.
Dorms have 6 beds per room all with private bath. They are cleaned daily and well kept. All rooms have a retro-futuristic design with hip furniture and clean living space.
The hostels lounge is a great place to relax day or night and meet people from around the world. The Cafe offers delicious dinners for around $6 and a social dining area with frequent events and gatherings including weekly free barbeques and free social every Saturday night.

To check in to a dorm you will asked to provide proof of current international travel. Please DO NOT RESERVE A DORM WITHOUT PROOF OF CURRENT INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL, you will not be accepted at check in, sorry. Please reserve a private room through our web site if you have no proof of international travel. People under the age of 16 are not permitted to stay in dorm rooms. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or chaperone. Couples must reserve two beds.

Orbit hostel was fine. Banana Bungalo, also in West Hollywood, seemed to be nicer though so book there if you can. The hostels are affiliated so the tours and parties are the same for both. Make sure you do the LA city tour and go to the parties, they were great. Most of the stafff were really friendly Andrew, from Australia ~ 16th Mar 2010

The Orbit hostel is located on Melrose, one of Hollywood's main shopping destinations. It's clean and close to bus stops, which is pretty convenient in a city like LA. The hostel organizes parties and activities every night and even tours to Universal Studios and other LA/Hollywood attractions. A pretty good place to stay in the LA area.
