This is the best Youth Hostel there is! You’re right on the beach, you have the countryside, and plenty of dinosaurs in the mix, in other words, the best waves for Surfing and Bodyboarding, great spots for fishing and diving, and an infinite number of activities for all tastes and ages!
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, which may happen from time to time, you can always pop over to the Museu da Lourinhã (Lourinhã Museum) and see the largest dinosaur fossil collection in the Iberian Peninsula.

Lisboa (Lisbon): Rede Expressos at estação de Sete–Rios (Sete-Rios Bus Terminus), head towards Praia da Areia Branca
From the North: Rede Expressos to Peniche – bus to Praia da Areia Branca – it’s a 5-minute walk from the bus stop to the Youth Hostel.
Closest stop to the Youth Hostel: Torres Vedras – bus to Praia da Areia Branca
Lisbon: A8 to Torres Vedras – exit: Vimeiro / Lourinhã; National Road heading towards Lourinhã, until you see signs for Praia da Areia Branca and Pousada de Juventude – the Hostel is next to the beach (Praia da Areia Branca) and not in the village of Areia Branca
OOporto: A1 – exit: Leiria – head towards A8 – IP6 in the direction of Peniche – before getting to Peniche, turn off in the direction of Lourinhã – after 12 km sign post: Praia da Areia Branca – drive down to the beach
