Our home, Bed & Breakfast 'Evelina', is situated in the heart of the historical centre of the city of Lucca, just minutes from the famous main shopping street 'Via Fillungo': The bed & breakfast on the 3rd floor has been totally re-decorated in the style of the 30s - 40s in honour of 'Evelina' the proprietor's grandmother. The spacious bedrooms guarantee absolute tranquillity in a family atmosphere in which guests will feel totally at home. Each room has furniture which has been restored by Lucchesian master craftsmen including a characteristic antique washbasin stand. There are 3 bathrooms with showers and hairdryers are available on request. All the guests can have access to the internet Wi-Fi broadband service, using their own computer from any area of the bed & breakfast. The nearby Carmine Square (piazza del Carmine) can be easily reached by car to unload or load luggage. Important tourist attractions like the Amphitheatre square, the Guinigi Tower with it's hanging garden, the famous churches, the composer Puccini's birthplace, museums and the spectacular 15th century walls that surround the city, are all easily reached on foot. Lucca offers many other attractions such as the Summer Festival during the month of July, which features world famous artists in concert and Lucca Comics&Games at the end of October. Anna will be happy to welcome you and hopes to offer the same typical Italian atmosphere she experienced when she used to come from Ireland (her birthplace) to visit her grandmother 'Evelina' in Italy. Check-in after 2.30p.m. and preferably before 7.30p.m. Check-out by 10.30a.m. (appreciated if arrival time can be indicated- morning arrivals can leave their luggage) closed for lunch from 12.30 to 2.30 Strickly non-smoking rooms (a veranda is available for smokers).
