Wifi internet is completely free in every part of this building including every bedroom and all communal space!

Ashton House dates back to 1908 and was originally built as a women's hostel and then a hotel to serve Manchester Victoria Railway Station. Now a Grade 2 listed Victorian property. In April 2010 Ashton House was acquired by its present owners and has now been sympathetically restored to its former glory. Everything in this property is brand spanking new from the walls to the soft furnishings.

Ashton House is built over 26,000 sq ft and has 51 En Suite Bedrooms. The ground and basement floor has now been completely refurbished and has just opened as Manchester's first Boutique Hostel with over 114 beds. The hostel boasts, Plazma screen tvs, stunning hotel 24 hour reception at weekends, 65 internal CCTV cameras, secure lockers, shared dormitary style bedrooms, both mixed for ladies and gents.

Unlike any other hostel in the UK we have installed Massage Showers with radio, LCD lighting, seat massager with 2 different showers and jet washers. Put simply, these showers are the best and most luxury on the market. They have been installed to leave you secure in the knowledge that you will feel relaxed, fresh and comfortable. Ashton House provides free WIFI throughout the full building including all bedrooms unlike most. The site benefits from Internet terminals also.

We have vending machines for snacks and tea and coffee. Accommodation is sold on a room only basis. We have no kitchen facilities other than a microwave, kettle and toaster.

We also have shared rooms and private en suite rooms available and self contained rooms which sleep 4 / 6/ 8 / 9 people right up to 28 people

This budget hotel and hostel is situated less than 5 minutes walk to the Manchester Evening News Arena and Victoria Station, The finish on the property is to a nice standard and is ideal if you are visiting the city for business or pleasure.

If you can find a hostel of the same standard anywhere in the north west at the same prices, we will give you your bed for absolutely FREE!

Guests will be contacted via email for full payment and names in advance, If you have a group booking or a long stay booked it is essential you pay in advance to secure your booking.

If you decide you want to stay in Manchester on a more permanent basis then we can assist you also. We have over 150 bedrooms in the city centre available on a monthly basis also

24 hr reception at weekends and reception until 11pm in the week

PLEASE NOTE: we have a common room which offers the use of microwave oven, toaster and kettle. There are no cooking facilities in the hostel.

If you look for the Manchester Evening News arena as a landmark or the cities CIS Tower you head down to Corporation Street. From there you look for the Ducie Bridge Pub and you go down past that (opposite will be the Dental Centre) You will then see the Crown and Cushion pub. The large redbrick freestanding building next door is Ashton House Hostel. You will see the large signs on the building. We look forward to welcoming you.
