Sadadu Guesthouse is 428 km from O.R. Tambo Int. Airport with a total duration of approximately 5 hours. If you do not feel like driving all the way to Marloth Park, you can also take a domestic fight to Kruger Mpumalanga Int. Airport. There are various airlines operating several times a day at Kruger Int. Airport. You can book your flight online and depending on the season, tickets are available from ZAR 1600,00 for a return ticket. At the airport, you can rent a car at the same rental companies as at O.R. Tambo Int. Airport. It will take you less than 1½ hours to drive to Marloth Park.
From the airport first follow the R21. After 5 km take the ramp to the N12. Continue on N12 for 113 km towards Witbank / Middelburg. At Witbank keep right onto the N4 direction Middelburg / Lydenburg. After a few km you will pass Middelburg toll Plaza (passenger car ZAR 55.00). Stay on the N4 until 7 km past Machadodorp. Here you can continue on the N4 to Waterval Boven / Beneden or turn left towards Lydenburg via the N4/R36. The 2 roads join again after 60 km at Montrose. Continue east on the N4 through Nelspruit. Before you reach Malelane you will pass Malelane toll Plaza (cars ZAR 42.00). Follow the N4 through Malelane and 10 km after Hectorspruit leave the N4 and turn left towards Marloth Park. A 5 km stretch of gravel road will lead you to the entrance of Marloth Park. In Marloth Park, continue on Elephant avenue (asphalt) for 10 kilometers. Turn right into eagle, after 250 m turn left into luiperdstreet then after 500 m on the left you see the sign of sadadu and the house.
From Kruger Mpumalanga Int. Airport:
Leave the parking lot of the rental company and turn left at the roundabout. After 1.5 kilometers turn left at the T-junction onto the R538. Continue on the N538 for 11 km. Note, 500 m before you turn left at the T-junction onto the N4, you will reach a large intersection where you MUST stop. Just before Malelane you will pass Malelane toll Plaza (cars ZAR 42.00).
From here follow the directions as described from Johannesburg.
It is also possible to reach Marloth Park by public transport. From O.R. Tambo Int. Airport you can take the CityBug which will take you in 3½ hours to Nelspruit. The CityBug can be booked online. A one way ticket will cost you ZAR 320.00. From Nelspruit several bus companies commute to Komatipoort where our caretaker can pick you up at a small fee.
Another option is to take the Greyhound bus to Komatipoort for ZAR 240.00. Here you can be picked-up again. The Greyhound bus departs at 08:15 hours from Johannesburg Park Station and will take you within 6 hours to Komatipoort.
