Hotel Medusa Milan in Milan, Italy

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! THIS HOSTEL IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. We arrived late in Milan due to mixed up travel arrangements. We called ahead and the lady assured us that this was okay. When we got to the unclean, cigarette smelling Hostel, we were greeted by a creepy, unfriendly old man, who told us that we didnt have a booking, and would not accept our reservation reference number. He then invited us to stay in a total strangers apartment. We left in disgust. Michael, from Australia ~ 24th May 2009

When we 'checked in' to the hotel, which was in an apartment complex, we found a lady smoking at the desk. She asked for 20 euros per person, and then told us 'her friend' was going to come get us. We assumed it was the manager, to escort us to the 'mixed dorm.' Her friend came to the door, and brought us to her apartment through a sketchy alleyway, up four flights of stairs (where the elevator did not work), where young Italian men were hollering at us.
