With only 30 beds, we excel at having service and amenities at reasonable prices. Our airy dorms feature comfortable beds, clean linens, and large lockers to keep your belongings safe.
Here, you will find everything you'd expect from a hostel, including the most sought after amenities, like on-site laundry, free Internet access, free self-serve breakfast, free coffee and tea and more. The kitchen is well-appointed and kept clean, and the common room offers a raft of activities.
All this is set on two floors of an old 1880s greystone with interesting architectural features. You won't be bored.
One of the features of our hostel is our beautiful terrace where you can relax and enjoy your continental breakfast in the sunshine, or come back for an apéro at the end of wonderful afternoon of sightseeing before heading out to dinner. Most importantly, there is no curfew so you will be free to explore the city and its famous (and fabulous!) nightlife to your heart's content.
What sets us apart from other hostels is our attention to detail. We treat you as guests, not passers-through, and you will find our personalized service not unlike the service you would find in a hotel.

By car from the south: Cross the Pont Champlain and follow the signs for Centre-ville. When you get to the end of the highway continue straight up University Street for about 10 blocks until you get to rue de Maisonneuve. Turn left and go 10 blocks to Mackay St, then turn left. We're on your left.

Where we are is just as important as what we are. Situated on Mackay Street, a quiet side street just steps from Sainte-Catherine Street, the city'Âs main downtown shopping district, Auberge L'Apero is within walking distance of most of Montreal'Âs attractions including Old Montreal, Chinatown, numerous museums, and our famous Underground City. We are only one block from the Metro, the city's fast, clean subway system that can whisk you anywhere that is too far to walk, from the Jean-Drapeau Park to the hip boutiques and restaurants of the famous Plateau Mont-Royal. We are just a 15 minutes bus ride from Mount-Royal, Montreal'Âs largest urban park, that offers seasonal sports and majestic views,
Montreal is a city of festivals and our location gives easy access, either on foot or by Metro, to the venues of all of our great festivals. Whether you come to our city for Jazz, Comedy, the Fringe Festival, les Nuits d'ÂAfrique or the Saturday night Fireworks, you will be close enough to walk, but far enough away to relax and sleep in quiet and comfort.
Montreal has an excellent public transit system that can get you anywhere in the city. The first time you go to a metro station, ask the ticket taker or our staff for the Plan de Réseau. It is the official public transit map, one of the best maps of the city, and it is free. The Societe de Transport de Montreal offers other good maps on their web site.
