I like the manager, he's cool, laid back and a very good source of useful information. Location could be better but the price and convenience are very good. The atmosphere is good and no one hassles you. I would recommend this place to friends. Pied-A-Terre turned out to be a really valuable part of our trip. The host bent over backwards to take care of our every need and really made us feel at home and safe in an unfamiliar city. Even though I had forgotten to call and confirm the booking, he made room for us anyways. The hostel was cozy, comfortable and clean even though there were two very friendly dogs around. All in all, a really great place to start enjoying Montreal whether you're traveling with friends or alone. Zhiyuan, from USA ~ 13th Aug 2009
