Hostel Stariy zamok (Old castle Hostel) is located in the elite home of the USSR government, nearby to the Kremlin and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.

Famous place. Famous building. And not so famous hostel =).

If you want to see more sights for minimum time - you are welcome.

P.S. Hostel Old castle - is the best solution to stay in the center of Moscow, comfortable and cheap.

Address: Serafimovich Street, building 2, entrance 23, code 455, apartment 455. The nearest metro station - Borovitskaya. How to go from the metro station Borovitskaya - get out of the station to the street (there is only one exit at this station) and go on right before the traffic lights, cross the road and turn to the left, then go straight to the bridge over the Moscow River, go over the bridge and you can see on the right hand large gray house, address Serafimovicha 2, you need 23 entrance (it is located at the opposite end of the house from the river).

Airports.
There is no direct Metro link to any of the airports. All airports are connected to the centre by Aeroexpress Trains.
Sheremetovo Airport (SVO):
Sheremetovo (Sher-re-met-ye-vo) - Located in the north of the city and is the hub for all Aeroflot flights. A number of international airlines fly from here.

Aeroexpress - There is an express train to the centre of Moscow. It goes to Belorussky Train Station. Trains leave every 30 minutes. Follow the signs for Aeroexpress in the airport.

From there you need to change to the Metro (Belorusskaya Metro Station). Our hostel is three stops away on the Grey Line (Borovitskaya Metro station).

Domodedovo Airport (DME):
Domodedovo (Dom-mo-de-do-vo) is located in the south of the city and is the hub for many international carriers (British Airways, BMI, Thai, El-Al, Emirates etc...).

Aeroexpress - There is an express train to the centre of Moscow. It goes to Paveletsky Train Station. Trains leave every 30 minutes. Follow the signs for Aeroexpress in the airport.

The Aeroexpress station is located in the basement in the middle of Paveletsky Train Station. The Metro is also linked to the station

To get to our hostel from Paveletsky Station take the Metro Green Line to Tverskaya Metro Station (3 stops). Then transfer onto the Grey Line for one stop at Borovitskaya Metro station.

Shuttle Buses - There are regular shuttle buses that run between Domodovskaya & Yugo-Zapadnaya Metro stations to Domodedovo Airport. This is the cheapest option but takes some time.

Vnukovo Airport (VKO):
Vnukovo (Vnu-ko-va) is located in the South West of the city and is mostly used by budget and charter airlines. German Wings flies here.

Aeroexpress - There is an express train to the centre of Moscow. It goes to Kievsky Train Station. Trains leave every 30 minutes. Follow the signs for Aeroexpress in the airport.

At Kievsky Station you need to leave the main station. The Vnukovo Aeroexpress Terminal entrance is around the corner on the left-hand side.


There are six main train stations in Moscow. All the stations are only a few Metro stops away from our hostel.

Trains-Siberian Routes - Yaroslavsky Station - Komosomolskaya Metro (Red & Brown Lines).

St.Petersburg, Helsinki & Tallinn - Leningradsky Station - Komosomolskaya Metro (Red & Brown lines).

Riga - Rizhsky Station - Rizhskaya Metro (Orange Line).

Kiev - Kievsky Station - Kievskaya Metro (Brown & Blue lines).
Warsaw, Minsk & Vilnius - Belorussky Station - Belorusskaya Metro (Green & Brown Lines).


Metro Operating Times: Opens: 5 am - 1 am Close.
