Minshuku Fugakuso is a simple but cozy Japanese style accommodation situated in the Fuji Goko (Fuji Five Lakes) area, right by Lake Kawakuchiko - the biggest of the 5 lakes. It has great access to major sightseeing spots in Mt. Fuji area. There are many restaurants, convenience stores and hot spring resorts near the hostel. One can enjoy beautiful nature, flowers and birds of all seasons, and relax in a nice natural hot spring bath in the area. If you want to climb Mt. Fuji, you can take a bus to the 5th station of the mountain. It only takes 50 min by bus.

The hostel has 5 Japanese style guestrooms, with a capacity of 32 people. There are 2 public baths in the hostel. You can also walk to a hot spring bath house in the neighborhood. The closest one is only 10min walk from the hostel.

If you wish to know about Japanese tea ceremony, there is a Japanese tea ceremony held from 19:00 until 21:00 every Thursday.

Facilities include a conference room, a hall for martial art practice, and a concert hall.

From Tokyo direction:
Take the Chuo Highway to Kawaguchiko I.C., 90min.

From Osaka direction:
Take the Tome Highway to Fuji I.C, 4hrs. After exiting Fuji I.C., take Rt139 to Kawaguchiko I.C., 1hr.

From Kawaguchiko I.C.:
Get on Rt. 707 and head towards the Kawaguchiko Bridge. Turn left at the Chinese restaurant Bamiyan to get on Rt. 714. We are about 800 meters from Bamiyan, on the right of the street.

By trains and buses:

From Tokyo direction:
Take the JR Chuo Line Express from JR Shinjuku Station to JR Otsuki Station, 62min. Switch to Fujikyuko Line and get off at Kawaguchiko Station, 51min.

From Osaka direction:
Take the JR Tokaido Shinkansen to MIshima Station, about 2hr. Take the Fuji Kyuko bus from Mishima Station, and get off at Kawaguchiko Station, about 2hr 10min.

From Kawaguchiko Station:
Take a bus bound for Lake Motosuko, Lake Saiko, and Narusawa Fuji direction. Get off at Hayashi bus stop. We are located on the north side of the bus stop. It takes only 1 min on foot from the bus stop.

The hostel is convenient located in the Fuji Five Lakes area, with a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. If you want to climb Mt. Fuji, you can take a bus to the 5th station of the mountain. It only takes 50 min by bus. You can also visit famous caves such as Narusawa Cave, and waterfalls such as Shiraito-no-taki Waterfall.
