The lights didnt work when we arrived, neither did the hot water, credit card machine didnt work, elevator didnt work, phone didnt work.

This was a great hostel and the next time I travel abroad I will stay at the Meninger. The staff were friendly and helpful and very efficient. My only compaint would be that it as very noisy in the mornings - I had a private room and I could hear people in the next rooms and corridor very easily.

A very nice hostel overall. A fun bar on the main floor. Very helpful staff, which is an important issue for me. The location isn`t great...its about a 5-minute walk to the city center or a 40-minute walk. There`s a pretty good restaurant across the street, though. The rooms themselves are pretty nice, each with their own bathroom and not too overcrowded (I stayed in a 14-bed dorm and it wasnt bad).

In general is OK, nothing more. We were lucky to get a free parking place along the street near the hostel and the receptionist kindly confirmed that it is OK to park there. Tram station is near so one can get easily to the city centre. Only the guest kitchen was extremely small for the whole hostel and even dirtier (reason for not beeing crowded?).
