Ryokan Meiryu is a traditional guest house offering Japanese-style rooms in the centre of Nagoya. All rooms have tatami floor. Air-conditioned. Bathing facilities are shared however, we have gentlemen's bathroom and ladies bathroom individually, and both of them are open for 24 hours.

We enjoy good public transport connections. It is just 4 subway stops to JR Nagoya Station from Kamimaezu Station. We are within 3 mins walk from Exit #3. The journey takes around 15 mins from Nagoya station and around one hour from Chubu Int'l Airport(aka Centrair).

Facilities include free internet access and laundry services. Meals are available and should be booked in advance.

Check-in: from 15:00
Check-out: until 10:00
Curfew: 22:00 (although the front door is open 24-hours)
Credit cards are accepted (not Maestro).

Our bathroom are Japanese style, so there are some ettiquettes to bear in mind.

No Soap / shampoos / body soaps / towels in the bathtub. Bathroom is only for bathing (and that is also the ettiquett in "Onsen"). For washing, please use showers. There are showers in the bathrooms as well!

Internet access is not WiFi thus you will need cables for the access. Please provide your own cable. We can rent cables but the number is pretty limited. If you do not have laptops with you, please use the public computer in the lobby(might be a bit old: Windows XP circumstances). Please ask the staff for the password.
Prices are per person per night.

==From JR Nagoya Station==
Closest station is subway Kamimaezu Sta. 4 stops from Nagoya Sta. Change at Sakae Sta or Fushimi Sta. From Kamimaezu Sta, use exit #3 and walk toward South. Take left at the first corner. Our building is on your left nearly the end of the street.

Our map in Hostelworld website is based on Googlemap however, we just noticed it can be a bit confusing - as it is not signposted in English, and addresses in Japan are not besed on the name of the street - we do NOT have names in every street like Europe or USA. So if you feel this map a bit confusing, please contact our website to get a map;

This map is not recently updated and need to erase some of the details, but it is we guess more detailed than the google one. We will update our map shortly.

==From CENTRAIR Airport (Chubu Int'l Airport)==
Take a MEITETSU express train running to Nagoya Sta.. Then Get off the train at KANAYAMA station to change for subway MEIJO line(purple). MEIJO line is a circle line, so take the one that goes clockwise to OZONE. KAMIMAEZU station is just two stops away.
The MEITETSU trains is running between the airport and Nagoya station quite frequently up to 23:30 at night.
The whole journey should take less than 1 hour but it might take more time in the evening.

For further information, please contact us and ask us for maps. We e-mail you several maps.
