Prince Albert Backpackers
Our charming and endearing backpackers operates inside a Heritage-class building that was originally built in 1888. It's now fully refurbished and caters to the modern traveller.
Our on-site pub is a local English-style watering hole that provides a great chance to meet locals. It closes early so as not to disturb those who cherish their sleep.
For the cyclists we have a secure, lockable garage in which to store your bikes. We're conveniently located at the base of the Dun Mountain Bike Trail.
All of our rooms are ensuite and throughout the stay we the owners (Mike and Nani) will be here (we live next door) to help out in any way we can.
Look forward to seeing you soon!

The hostel is situated at the corner of Nile and Tasman Streets. 2 blocks from Trafalgar St towards the Maitai Valley
From the airport one exits onto Quarantine Road.
150 meters take the 1st exit onto Whakatu Drive.
400 meters via the 2nd exit continue on Whakatu Drive
700 meters take the 2nd exit onto Waimea Road
4.4 km turn right onto Selwyn Place
500 meters turn right onto Collingwood St
150 meters take 1st exit onto Nile St
350 meters and we are on the left.
A taxi will cost between $20-$25 to reach us.
Unfortunately Nelson doesn\\\'t have a bus service that runs to the airport, however there is a service called \\\'Super Shuttle\\\' that exists. It is cheaper than a taxi!!!
The intercity bus terminal is a 10 minute walk and is located on Bridge St.
To reach us from there one need only walk 3 blocks down Bridge St, turn right onto Tasman St and we are on the corner of Tasman and Nile another 3 blocks South.
Again with prior arrangement we do provide complementary pick ups and drop offs to the bus terminal.
We're only a 8 minute walk from the city centre, one minute's walk to the Matai River and Reserves, 20 minutes' walk to the Centre of New Zealand's viewing platform, a 10-minute walk to the famous Nelson Saturday Markets and a 10-minute stroll along the river bank to Trafalgar Park.
