I had a great time! Rooms were not the cleanest, but the employees and people there more than made up for it.

This place would have a lot of potential if the rooms were a tiny bit nicer. We reserved a private room for two of us and wound up getting a private room with 7 beds. A little strange.

this was my 4th stay at marquette house and will be my last. i found somewhere else to stay as soon as i could and moved out. it was filthy

It was a great value, friendly staff. Location was not walking distance to the french quarter, but st. charles streetcar was pretty convenient (never waited long, the ride was 10-15 minutes). Apparently, location is at the edge of a bad neighborhood, but people said as long as you don't venture into the bad part you don't have problems. There were cockroaches, but in fairness to the hostel, there seemed to be cockroaches all over new orleans. Overall, good experience.

The best location for Mardi Gras just one block from St. Charles Ave...Hate the idea the kitchen closed at 10pm & no internet signal in my room..The Staff was very helpful esp (MIKE) he's da best. The Room was very clean..I def plan to revist
