We did our best to realize a real Hostel at Playa Pelada with inexpensive beds and a warm & relaxed atmo Bienvenidos a Almost Paradise! Located in Playa Pelada, we are less than a 2 minute walk from the beach, as well as a 15 minute beach walk to Guiones, one of the top rated surf beaches in the world. Almost Paradise's staff are all here to enjoy Costa Rica and everything it has to offer and share it with our guests. From live music to wildlife our place is open to all creatures. We are happy to arrange canopy tours, horseback riding, ATV rentals or anything else you might have in mind for you Costa Rican adventure. Join us for breakfast or dinner. Morning ocean and sunset views, cool breezes and tons of music provide a great atmosphere to start your day or night. Cocktail specials, all you can eat pancake breakfast, random bbqs, sushi nights, fish & chips, fried chicken, local fare or the catch of the day are just some of the things you can enjoy on our rotating menu. We also have a common kitchen for everyone's use, enough space for surfboard-storage, and an additional outdoor shower. Enjoy the big terrace of the hostel! Arriving by bus:
The Alfaro-Bus leaves San Jose at 5:15 am and arrives at Nosara around noon.
From Nicoya's main bus station the local bus (Traroc) to Nosara runs 5 times every day from 4:45 am to 5:30 pm.
This ride takes about 2 hours and is usually great fun!
Our bus stop: crossing 'Playas de Nosara'.
Just ask the bus driver to let you out at 'Panchos' and then follow the signs!
From there it's only a 10 to 15 min walk heading towards Playa Pelada. We are just between the supermarket 'Panchos' and the Bar & Restaurant 'Dona Olga'.
Or give us a call and we pick you up from the bus station!
Arriving by car:
You can either take the same way as written above and then drive up
and turn left just before the beach 'Playa Pelada' and left again to get to the main entrance of our hostel.
Or you turn left half a kilometer before the bus station and follow there the signs to Almost Paradise.
Arriving by plane:
You can also fly to Nosara with NatureAir.
And if you let us know when you'll arrive we pick you up from the 'airport'.
