The main building was built in 1910 and was used as a sake storehouse and a family home. Later it became a first-class Japanese restaurant. Much of the furniture, flooring and paneling that you see in our guest rooms and common areas are made from the original timber in our effort to preserve the history of the building. Please note that sound passes into and out of the rooms easily through the paper walls and doors of the traditional architecture. The Japanese style wooden building has been retrofitted with modern accommodations.

Please take a note that old wooden townhouse has been restored into contemporary accommodation retaining its traditional Japanese style. Please understand walls or paper doors are not sound-proof enough. Also, all our facilities are on shared basis as we are designed with independent young travelers in mind.

#JR Osaka Loop Line/ Fukushima station /4 minutes walk

1) At JR Fukushima station, go out the gate (there is only one gate) to the right, step down a few stairs, you will be in front of Yoshinoya rice bowl restaurant.

2) Pass McDonald’s on your right, keep going straight until you get to the main big street (Joshobashi). Cross the big road.

3) As soon as you cross the road, turn right. On the next corner, there is a small alley on your left. (If you get to Seven Eleven, you have passed the alley).

4) Walk into the alley. And take the left alley. Passing the green color Italian restaurant and the small shrine gate on your left, you will see the two-toned yellow and white color building on your right. This is U-En building.
Please come in from the left side gate next to the parking lot. ( Don’t come in from the door facing the road, it is a restaurant door!)
