From Philadelphia International Airport
Take the R1 train (follow the signs). Get off at the Market East Station. As you exit the train, turn in the direction the train was traveling and exit the platform towards 10th Street. Take Market Street towards 2nd Street (approximately 10 minutes walking distance to the hostel). Bank Street is between 3rd and 2nd Street on the right hand side. A taxi will get you from the Market East Station to the hostel for about $6 plus tip.
Shuttles are also available from airport for about $10 per person plus tip. You have to go to the Transportation desk located near the luggage area of each terminal and ask the person behind the desk to call one for you.
Taxis to the hostel have a flat rate of $28.50 and an additional $0.50 per person, plus tip.
From Greyhound Bus Station
Walk on Market Street towards 2nd Street (approximately 15 minutes walking distance to the hostel). Bank Street is a very small street (like an alley because it's one of the city's oldest streets) between 2nd and 3rd Streets, and the hostel is on the right hand side.
The Megabus (www.megabus.com) is cheaper than Greyhound from New York City and Washington, DC. Tickets are often only $1 if you buy them early enough, and their buses have free wireless internet. Get off at their 6th and Market Street stop, then walk down Market Street towards 2nd Street. Turn right on Bank Street. (This is an approximately 5 minute walk to the hostel).
There are a few bus companies that depart from Chinatown in both New York, Baltimore and Washington DC. They let you off on 11th Street between Filbert Street and Arch Street. Walk to Market Street and then walk down Market Street towards 2nd Street. Turn right on Bank Street. (In total, this is approximately 12 to 15 minutes walking distance). Try booking your tickets online at www.buszoo.com or on www.megabus.com (select the red bus for Chinatown). Tickets start as low as $1.00! However, this website only lists the departure times for one of the companies. If the departure time is more important than the price, remember that more departure times are available through the other Chinatown bus companies.
From Amtrak Train Station
Take the blue-line subway from the train station. Get off on Second Street. Bank Street is a very small street (like an alley because it's one of the city's oldest streets) between 2nd and 3rd Street, so if you're walking up from 2nd Street towards 3rd Street, Bank Street will be on the left hand side.
