The Local Riverside, is a stones throw from the main drag of Sissowath Quay, Riverside, conveniently located on Street 144, around the corner from Blue Pumpkin and only 50m from the river. The location lends itself to a quieter array of foot traffic, street noise and panhandling, yet only seconds from the vibrant Riverside promenade. The National Museum, Royal Palace, Central Market and Wat Phnom are only a 10 minute walk or 1 minute on a tuk tuk. There is also a local market 100m away. Free is wifi available throughout the building. The Local Riverside consists of a courtyard and inside dining area, pool room, lounge area; the entire building was renovated in 2010 and four guesthouse rooms were added. Rooms feature aircon, flatscreen tv's (free DVD player hire) mini fridge, bath tubs and rain showerheads with hot water, in-room safe and tea and coffee making facilities. In room telephone to call reception: room service for food and beverages is available from 7.30am - 11.45pm. The Western managed restaurant serves excellent Australian cuisine and Khmer food with prices to suit all budgets. Superb cocktails are served at the bar and there's various happy hours to enjoy! The mezzanine level is a fully equipped music performance space featuring local musicians- customers are welcome to grab an instrument and help themselves! Ask the driver to take you to the riverside area- Sissowath Quay. Look out for La Croisette and Blue Pumpkin on the corner of the Quay and Street 144. Some drivers will be familiar with both places, if not, just look out for their signs. The Local Riverside is just a few shops up from the corner on street 144 near a massage parlour.
