ALBERGO FOR BACKPACKERS is right in the centre of the Garden Route: THE ADVENTURE GATEWAY TO SOUTH AFRICA! We are right in the centre of Plettenberg Bay, all shops, restaurants and bars are on our doorstep. The beach is a 10 minute walk from the hostel. Our staff will help you with all information about Plettenberg Bay and all things to see and to do in the area. You can relax in our big garden with swinging hammocks and hanging chairs from the trees. Every night is bonfire night, so you can have your own "Braai" (bbq). By car: On the N2 turn left at the big traffic circle and follow the 'Plettenberg Bay Center' signs. At the 'DOLPHIN' roundabout, you turn left into Main Street, take the 3rd street to the left into Church Street. Drive up the hill and you will see the Albergo sign after 25 meters on your right hand side.
Baz Bus: We are a Baz Bus Stop and Booking Agent. The Baz Bus will drop you off and pick you up right in front of our doorstep. When you travel from the direction of Port Elizabeth you will be at Albergo at about 12.00 AM and when you travel from the direction of Cape Town you will be at Albergo at about 6.00 PM.
Main buslines: As soon as you arrive at the bus station (The Shell Ultra) give us a phonecall and we will pick you up. Pick up and drop off from 9.00 AM until 9.30 PM available (reservation essential). Sometimes transport is not available. In that case we are happy to explain you how to walk (1.5 Km) or to phone a taxi for you.
Located Near
Absolutely right in the center of Plettenberg Bay. Church street is a side street of the Main street. Supermarkets, bars and restaurants are on our doorstep. The beach is a 15 minute walk from Albergo for Backpackers.
