A great hostel! It has a green roof which helps recycle rainwater; they're big on recycling too. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have regular open mic sessions too in the garden and it's easy to meet and chat with others. Although it's never easy sleeping in a hostel (at last not for me), this one is very hushed after 10pm. Not the kind of place for midnight revelry. Peter, from Switzerland ~ 5th Oct 2009

I only stayed for 1 night, but my stay there was great. The staff was helpful in giving information about Portand. Renting out one of their bicycles to explore the city was the best since the city was very bike friendly and a quick and easy way to explore the city. I would stay here again in my next visit.
